January 8th, 2010

PWR fans, I hope that each & every one of you had a joyous holiday season. Let’s make a new years resolution to make 2010 the most insane year for PWR yet. Whose with me?

Fans, I’m really getting excited about the January 16th PWR show….. It’s going to be awesome!
Every championship will be on the line.

You need to be there; trust me!

Sheik Mustafa, as 50% owner of Pro Wrestling Rampage, has signed a match for January’s show.  No surprise – he’s arranged for new PWR Tag-Team Champions Lumberjack Leroux and Jamie Scott to put the belts on the line against The Foreign Legion (The Sheik and Luis Diamante).

However, neither Lumberjack nor Jamie have complained to me about this decision; both men want to get their hands on The Sheik, after what he did to them at War Games last year, and they see this match as their best opportunity.

Fans, I have to tell you, this one will be brutal…. I can’t wait for January 16th!

The Fabulous John McChesney recently issued a challenge to any of the upcoming future stars in the industry, daring them to come to Erie to face him.  Well, that challenge has been answered.  Rising young superstar & one of Canada’s best pure athletes, Scott Turner has accepted John’s challenge.  This will be the first time that these two young superstars have ever met in the ring – but which one of these electrifying athletes will come out on top?

We’ll find out on January 16th….. I really excited about this one, fans!

Rocky Reynolds is so proud of himself, having broken the right wrist of Riot Squad member Sam, at the December show; and for no apparent reason!  Sam had to undergo emergency surgery on the wrist right before the holidays. Here’s too a speedy recovery Sam.

Rocky’s actions were inexcusable. It seemed like he enjoyed inflicting that crippling damage.  Everyone else cringed when we heard the bone ‘snap’ in two, except Rocky…. He just smiled.

I hope that someone can finally teach Rocky the lesson he deserves; maybe on January 16th?  We’ll have to wait and see…..

I simply can’t wait for the exciting rematch between Omega Aaron Draven and The Shooting Star, Marcus Knight!  These two remarkable warriors put on an amazing show in December, and have promised to top it in January, when they face one another again, on the 16th, for the PWR Lake Erie Championship. It will be high-flying, aerodynamic, non-stop action, that’s for sure!  You won’t want to miss this one.

Speaking of rematches, both PWR Champion “Big Time” Bill Collier and the PWR brass agree that “The Steel City Prodigy” Ryan Mitchell deserves another shot at the PWR Heavyweight Championship.  These two lions had an outstanding match in December, which went back-and-forth, until finally Big Time got the victory.

The fans in attendance gave both men standing ovations for their efforts.  And I’ve received email after email demanding this rematch.

Well, when the fans of PWR speak, we listen! On January 16th, we’ll witness Bill Collier versus Ryan Mitchell (round two) for the PWR Heavyweight Championship!

In January, new PWR Women’s Champion Angel Dust will defend her title for the first time against former champion Brittany Force (a wrestler whom Angel Dust has never beaten).  I’m a huge fan of Angel Dust; I love the energy and passion she brings to the ring each month.  But I have to tell you that, in my opinion, the odds heavily favor the more experienced, vicious Brittany Force, who earned this shot by besting Sassy Stephie in a #1 contenders match in December, and is absolutely desperate to get her belt back!

This match will be fierce and violent – I don’t think either combatant will be the same afterwards!

J-Rocc is so excited about the New Year!  He feels that 2010 will be his year, and asks that everyone who attends the PWR Show on January 16thGive it up one time, for the Big Daddy of Destruction!”

J-Rocc has promised to not lose any matches at all for the whole year…..
Can J-Rocc actually achieve this lofty goal?  I wouldn’t bet against him!

I’m not sure what to do about this one…..
Robby Starr has refused to compete in January.

He’s still mad at the fans for booing him, after he “cheated” (by pulling his opponent’s tights, out of the ref’s view) to get the victory in December, against Nikki Valentino.

Robby just doesn’t get it. He has all the ability in the world. Why does he have to resort to those tactics?

Will Robby return to PWR in February?  And if he does, how will he react?  Time will tell, I guess.

Speaking of Valentino, this young man continues to impress me, week after week.  He keeps improving, every match. Valentino’s definitely an athlete to watch in 2010!

Injury update:
Joey Vengeance is still nursing his shoulder damage suffered at December’s show. He most likely will be unavailable for January’s PWR event.

Fans, I haven’t been able to locate The Notorious Shane Taylor.  He won’t answer my calls, or return my texts. He hasn’t called anyone else in PWR, either.

I’m not sure what this means, but I’ve got a bad feeling about it!

Shane calls his own shots, and is still not happy about losing the PWR Championship to Bill Collier in November!

He hasn’t been seen since…..

I’ll be honest:  The thought of this ferocious monster biding his time, getting madder and madder, makes me cringe in fear.

I don’t want to be around when he unleashes his pent up fury!
