Wow!
Fans, the 2nd Annual PWR Anniversary Show & Fan Festival was simply amazing!
It exceeded all expectations – the entire wrestling world has been calling and emailing to congratulate PWR.
But let me tell you; I respond the same way to each communication that I receive:
“Thanks, but it’s all due to our awesome fans.  They show up each and every month, and provide us the ability & forum to “unleash the beast,” allowing PWR to showcase the breathtaking athleticism and quality entertainment we’ve come to expect.  Without our remarkable fans, we would not be here!”

So PWR fans, let me thank you again.
We do it all for you, and appreciate the opportunity you’ve granted us!

For those of you who missed it (and don’t think there were many, as we were sold out, with a “standing room only” crowd in attendance), Saturday’s 2nd Anniversary extravaganza was extraordinary:

  • We witnessed an absolutely astonishing 6-Man “Wild Scramble Match” to open the show, featuring Marcus Knight, Joe Rosa, Dorian Monroe, Brandon Thurston, Nicky Valentino, and Erie’s own Omega Aaron Draven!  Fans, I saw things during this bout which I thought were physically impossible – the aerodynamic display was astounding!
  • Omega then took the opportunity, immediately afterwards, to surprise Sheik Muhammad Mustapha, cashing in on his “Money in the Bank” title opportunity (gained from winning the Scramble), beating Mustapha for the PWR Lake Erie Championship belt!
  • J-Rocc, the “Big Daddy of Destruction” and Sexy Shawn Blaze had a brutal “Grudge Match” in which J-Rocc sustained a major leg injury, but still managed to get the victory.  I was in awe of the physicality displayed during this vicious fight!
  • Real Smooth battled The Bone Crushers for the PWR Tag-Team Titles.  This was the 12th time these two teams have met in the squared circle, and I think it was their best match yet!  Real Smooth managed to eek out a victory, in an extremely close brawl.  But the real shock came when “Chairman of the Board” Jamie Scott made his return, following his devastating shoulder injury, and pummeled Real Smooth after the match had ended.  This feud is far from over, folks.
  • In an exciting, grueling, fierce bout, former champion Big Time Bill Collier pinned Notorious Shane Taylor, to win back the PWR Heavyweight Championship!  This was one for the ages, fans, as this fight went back and forth, with both combatants refusing to give an inch.  I was so impressed by the athleticism, skill, and conditioning of both men.
  • Angel Dust won her first championship ever, besting both Sassy Stephie and Brittany Force in a “Triple Threat match” to gain the PWR Ladies title.  This was a ferocious, highly competitive fight between three of the best female grapplers in the world today!
  • To the delight of the fans, WWE Superstar Hacksaw Jim Duggan pinned the Winter Soldier, Ivan Radsky, after a quality match, to the chants of “USA, USA!” by the PWR audience. In the immortal words of Hacksaw (who is the nicest man in the world, and genuinely loved entertaining his Erie fans and wrestling for us)….. “Hoooooooooooooooooo!”  What a moment, when Hacksaw got the win!
  • Former NWA Champion Wildfire Tommy Rich was taken to the limit by PWR’s Lumberjack Leroux, before finally beating the energetic, combative Lumberjack.  However, many fans seemed to notice that Tommy had his feet on the ropes (gaining extra leverage) during the pinfall – I’ll have to review the video footage.  Either way, it was a great match, in which both men showed us what wrestling is truly about!
  • Finally, after a 10 month hostile feud, Luscious Rocky Reynolds and Fabulous John McChesney met in Erie’s first-ever “Body Bag Match” to finally settle their differences.  It was truly an inspiring, remarkable fight, containing many moments that will be remembered forever!  (My personal favorite involved a hockey stick!)  Fans, this battle was pure carnage; neither man will ever be the same again.  But in the end, Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook put a toe-tag on the unconscious Rocky, as Fabulous got the duke.  What an incredible match!  And what stupendous courage and fortitude from both Rocky and John.

PWR would also like to thank Bull Shooters & The Cell Block in there contributions & efforts in helping make PWR 2nd Year Anniversary Celebration such a huge success. We look forward to growing these relationships moving into 2010.

By the way fans, if you were not at The Cell Block for the official 2nd Year Anniversary Celebration bash, you missed an awesome with Hacksaw Jim Duggan & many of the PWR superstars.

There were a multitude of celebrities in attendance at the Anniversary extravaganza, but I would like to thank three in particular.

Ø       Jamison Hixenbaugh from WICU & WSEE, who actually addressed the PWR fans from the ring, about his experiences in filming “Between the Ropes: Pro Wrestling Rampage Unleashed”. The four day series original aired on WICU & WSEE news in early November, but can still be seen right here on the PWR site for your pleasure.

Ø       Erie County District Attorney Jack Daneri, who lifted the restraining order on Fabulous, allowing John to square off against Rocky in the main event!

Ø       Erie County Coroner, “The Coronator” Lyell Cook, who made an impressive grand entrance to sit ringside during the main event to officially toe-tag the loser of the body bag match.

Fans, we’ve had 25 straight months of super wrestling entertainment, but we’re not stopping now!
Get ready for our next show, on Saturday, December 12th, at the Cauley Auditorium in Erie, PA, at 7:30pm.

So far, two outstanding matches have been announced:

Omega Aaron Draven will make his first defenses of his newly won PWR Lake Erie Championship against rising superstar Marcus Knight.  Aaron and Marcus really went at it in the Scramble match, providing fans with a truly amazing display of unique aerial assaults.  This match was made at the request of Aaron, as he felt that Marcus was deserving of the opportunity.  I simply can not wait for this one, fans.  It will be spectacular!

Jamie Scott has challenged Real Smooth to a match for the PWR Tag-Team Titles, and Real Smooth has accepted.  On December 12th, Real Smooth will face off against their former manager and a “mystery partner” of his choice.  If I know anything at all about PWR’s Chairman of the Board, Jamie will make the right choice for his tag-team partner.  Fans, let me tell you, this will be a brutal, sadistic fight – there is no love lost between Scott and Real Smooth…. They genuinely want to hurt each other, bad!

New PWR Champion Big Time Bill Collier has already committed to the December 12th PWR show as well.  I can’t wait to see who Bill fights!  I am sure just like the previous championship reign, Bill will not back down from a challenge.

More exciting bouts will be announced later.

But please make plans now to attend PWR on December 12th – you don’t want to miss this one, fans. Front row seats will go fast….. Reserve them now!

And I hear rumors that Santa Claus might be at the Cauley, too!

The entire PWR organization hopes that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.
May you and your family continue to enjoy a safe and peaceful holiday season!

Fans, I’m happy to report that everything went well last Saturday night, for the “Win a Date with Omega” payoff.  Both Aaron and his date had a great time, watching the WWE “Survivor Series’ PPV together, and eating a hardy dinner!

Not only did these two kids hook up for great evening, but this event raised significant money for charity!

Thanks again, fans, for your participation.
PWR truly cares!
