OH
MY
WHAT A NIGHT!
That was my reaction at the conclusion of PWR War Games 2009, last Saturday Night.
I’ve never witnessed such carnage, torture, or betrayal, in all of my years associated with Professional Wrestling.
It was horrifying.
The match started as expected, with hard-hitting, exciting action involving two teams of men who earnestly hate each other, locked in an 18 foot high steel cage. Luis Diamante began with Omega; then Ivan Radsky entered, followed by Lumberjack. Then Bone Crusher Sway, Jamie Scott, and Bone Crusher Mandingo got into the cage, each 5 minutes after the other. To this point, it was an incredible and gruesome fight, fairly evenly matched, with almost every combatant bloody and bruised. Then one member of Real Smooth was called to enter the fray, but didn’t respond – no one knew why or what was happening. Then, The Sheik entered, and he brought his own lock, securing the cage door so no one else could enter. The match became a 5 on 3 beat down, as Lumberjack, Omega, and Scott fought valiantly, but were simply outnumbered.
Then suddenly, Real Smooth arrived, and broke into the cage using bolt cutters. Finally, it seemed that the match would be even again. But then, the unimaginable occurred: Real Smooth attacked their mentor Jamie Scott, and helped handcuff Omega and Lumberjack to the cage. War Games became a 7 on 3 slaughter.
During it all, The Sheik was laughing, directing the massacre. Then, as the pummeled Omega and Lumberjack watched helplessly, The Sheik placed Scott in a modified Camel Clutch for over two minutes, until the blood soaked and scarred Scott finally, mercifully passed out. After 59 minutes of appalling transgressions, The American Coalition was forced to submit.
Simply unbelievable. While The Foreign Legion celebrated their “victory”, Jamie Scott was taken by stretcher from ringside and rushed to the hospital for treatment. The initial diagnosis was a concussion, severe contusions, and separated right shoulder.
The PWR website will keep you posted on Scott’s condition.

Later in the show, we learned why Real Smooth betrayed their friend and manager, Jamie Scott…… First, a “briefcase” was given to Real Smooth by the Sheik – word has it that it was filled with a large sum of undisclosed money.
Later, while Real Smooth was in the ring, denigrating the fans and demeaning America, Luis Diamante and The Sheik carried out Tag-Team Champions Angel Dust and Sassy Stephie. Then, The Sheik brought ref Rico Cruz into the ring. After a fast beat down, Real Smooth gave a dazed Angel Dust the “Block Party”, knocking her out cold. The Sheik forced Cruz to count to three, while Diamante held back Sassy Stephie from entering the ring.
Just like that, there were new PWR Tag-Team Champions: Real Smooth.
After the “match” there were even more despicable actions by The Sheik and Diamante; they gave a DDT to Cruz, severely injuring him.
As a result of these actions, I am reviewing the video evidence of the evening & believe me, there will be repercussions for their actions.

Speaking of Tag-Teams, it seemed to me that The Bone Crushers had no idea that The Sheik was making a ‘deal’ with Real Smooth. It was obvious that The Bone Crushers wanted a shot at the Tag Titles, and were upset when The Sheik “arranged” for Real Smooth to win the belts.
Shockingly, later in the show, when the irate Bone Crushers questioned there boss, they were attacked from behind by Real Smooth and laid out. I’m sure that we haven’t seen the last of this bitter rivalry, between these two world-class tag teams.

As those who attended Saturday’s event know, The Big Rig Brodie Lee was no where to be found for his match against The Fabulous John McChesney. That didn’t stop Rocky Reynolds, though – He arranged for his friend Troy Buchannon (along with two ‘enforcers’) to take on Fabulous, in a wild, freewheeling dual. Though battered, McChesney prevailed against the odds, upsetting Rocky’s revenge plans…. For now.
What will happen next in this long running, bitter feud between Rocky Reynolds and The Fabulous John McChesney; stay tuned. And make sure that you show up on October 24th to find out!

The final match at War Games involved an impromptu tag-team bout between the new PWR Heavyweight Champion Notorious Shane Taylor and Sexy Shawn Blaze against former champion Big Time Bill Collier and J-Rocc (who is Shane’s previous partner).
It was an intense fight, with tremendous, hard hitting, move after move, and blow after blow action. In the end, the tenuous bond between Bill and J-Rocc held, as Big Time scored the pin on Shawn Blaze, after the michinoku driver.
During the match, it looked as if Shawn Blaze sustained sever injury to one side of his chest area. Blaze was immediately attended to by medical attention & rush to the emergency room for further review. I briefly spoke with the attending physician & it was confirmed by x-ray that Shawn Blaze fractured 3 ribs & maybe out of action for an indefinite amount of time.
Lastly, in October, please bring a friend to the show; someone who’s never attended a PWR event before & let them see how awesome the action is.
Let’s keep filling the house and ensuring that PWR will be around every month.
Thanks.
Until next month,
Let’s Keep It In The Ring
